My favourite products

I got introduced to NuSkin about 4 years ago and I was a natural sceptic as everyone are to new things. I didn’t really use any products on my skin and at the time I thought it was a waste og money and time. I’ve always been very lucky to have good skin, but after trying these amazing products from Nu Skin I found out that it is in-fact possible to get even better skin. How about that?! So in this post i want to share with you my favourite products and why I love them <3 So here they are:

Exfoliant scrub: I love that this scrub has small grains in it – a lot of the scrubs I’ve tried over the years doesn’t have enough grains and I feel like I’m just rubbing a think cream on my face – which obviously doesn’t do anything for my skin at all. I use this probably 2-3 times a week to make sure my skin is ready to absorb all the good ingredients from the other products.

Creamy moisturising mask : it gives my skin so much moisture, and my skin glows after using it. I normally leave it on for at least 2 hours or I put it on before bedtime and wash it off the day after.

Marine mud mask: This product should be mandatory if you live in a city with loads of pollution (like Oslo or London). It draws out everything that clogges up your pores, and it leaves your skin super soft and clean. You can even see how the mask is working when it has dried, as the dirt in your skin will show on the surface of the face mask! How amazing is that?

Sole solution: I’ve probably used this product the longest, and that’s because it really helps my sore feet after a long day at work. I walk quite a lot and we all know how that affects the way our feet looks at the end of the day! I normally put it on my feet after a shower and then I put socks on to make sure I don’t leave footprints all over my house! Sole solution also works for dry elbows and knees, and it’s also a miracle worker on eczema

Celltrex ultra recovery fluid: I tried this product for the first time right after Christmas, as it was a christmas present from Siri and my dad, and I have to say that this product is much better than I ever expected! I’ve never used a serum before, as I never saw the point, but this product changed the way I think about these small bottles with liquid gold. I used to have scares on my chin and between my eyebrows from spots when I was a teenager, but these scares are as almost gone and I don’t use as much makeup (concealer) as I used to - I have nothing to conceal anymore!

Whitening toothpaste: Last, but not least I want to write about our amazing whitening toothpaste. This products has changed the way I look at my teeth and it was really made my teeth whiter. It doesn’t contain any bad chemicals + it contains fluoriode! Double win

So here you have my favourite products! I hope it was informative and I'm looking forward to sharing more of my stories with you :) xx

Super Foods and supplements

Since I stopped eating meat in September I've eaten a lot healthier! When you can eat whatever you want, it's so easy to just pick up a frozen pizza with pepperoni or some other kind of ready meal. When you have certain restrictions you have to get more creative - which is loads of fun! I have found a few favorite recipes that I will show you later, but today I want to talk about super foods and nutrition supplements.

There are loads of foods you are "supposed" to eat every day to get enough nutrition, foods like avocado, broccoli, flax seeds ect, but sometimes it's hard to eat enough of these foods! Because even though you eat a salad for lunch, you're probably not eating enough - you need to eat quite a lot of salad for it to count as 1 of your 5 a day.

When you don't eat meat it's so hard to get enough vitamin B12, as that vitamin normally only comes from eating animal protein. Vitamin B12 is a vitamin that comes from the soil where grass and vegetables grow, but when you buy a carrot from the supermarket it's so scrubbed down that you won't get any soil on it (thank god), which means no vitamin B12 (vegetables don't absorb any of the vitamin B12 either). As a vegetarian (and a non-dairy eater), it's important for me to take supplements to stay healthy and strong. But as I said, it's very hard to get enough vitamins and minerals in general, as there are almost no vitamins and minerals in meat and processed foods. I take a supplement called LifePAK+ and I also take omega 3, both from Nu Skin (Pharmanex). They give me all the vitamins and minerals I need, including B12.

Because, after all, staying healthy throughout life begins with eating right.

Courgette spaghetti - recipe will come later

Under is a list of the vitamins and minerals which helps your body stay young and healthy!

Vitamin C – an effective antioxidant, vitamin C also supports the production of collagen in your skin. Collagen is the protein responsible for making your skin young-looking.
-       Foods: Guavas, bell peppers, kale, kiwi, broccoli
Vitamin E – is another antioxidant that helps fight free radicals in your body. Free radicals are one of the major causes of premature ski ageing
-       Foods: Almonds, avocado, spinach, shrimp, sunflower seeds
Coenzyme Q10 – is able to slow down the oxidation process in the skin, fighting the signs of aging.
-       Foods: Coldwater tuna, coldwater salmon, coldwater herring, beef, chicken.
Omega 3 – has been shown to help reduce the apperance of both acne and wrinkles. It also helps repair the skin
            -     Foods: Flax seed, chia seeds, walnuts, edamame beans, anchovies

Marine Mud Mask

Looking good, right?

Today I want to share a little secret with you guys! Or I'm not sure if you can call it a secret, but it's good anyway. Have you ever felt like your skin look tired and you can't control those horrible black spots on your nose? Well, I have, and I also have found the solution! It's an amazing face mask with Glacial Marine Mud. It contains sea botanicals which draws out any dirt you have in your skin, leaving it healthy and better looking. It also works as a mini-scrub, meaning it removes dead skin cells. I always reach for this face mask if I'm starting to get a spot on my face (or body..), and it almost always disappears before it's even appears! Want to hear more? Comment on this post and I'll get back to you :)

A new project

Hello and happy Wednesday. We're halfway to the weekend already, and it's only 50 days till Christmas! How crazy is that?
Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys about a new project I'm starting up with. 3 years ago my step mum brought home a lot of skincare products from a company called Nu Skin. All of us were a bit skeptical to these new products from this unknown brand, but we wanted to give it a try. I fell in love with a few of the products and I continued to use them every day (day cream, eyelash serum, face mask ect). Now, 3 years later, I want to take this one step further and I've decided to try out more products and write about it here on the blog. The first product I want to write about is a genius machine called Galvanic Spa, so keep an eye out for the next post.

We're going on holiday!

Mykonos - Greece

Look at this amazing place. On a rainy day like today I'm dreaming about going here. Waking up with the sunshine on your face, go to the beach for a morning swim before the world wakes up and after that a delicious breakfast in a little cafƩ in the narrow streets of this beautiful island. I'm looking for places to go, and Mykonos in Greece have been a favorite for a long time. I want to go NOW!

Stripes

Hello lovely people. The previous Saturday I was out and about with my boyfriend, and this is what I wore. Amazing dress from Laundry Boutique (found here), and my new favorite boots.  Last week I finally got the boots of my dreams, and I absolutely love them. They will be worn on many occasions this autumn/winter, and already this week I'll take some outfit photos. I hope you have an amazing day and I'll pop by later with some last minute holiday inspiration!

On the hunt for the perfect boots

New season means new clothes. I'm lucky enough to work with fashion every day, and I'm always on Pinterest and other medias to find inspiration. Right now I'm hunting for the perfect pairs of boots for fall, and I'm head over heels in love with this pair! Perfect shape, perfect color combination and perfect hight. Autumn is, for me, the best fashion season - I love layering. You will definitely see me in an outfit like this, probably more than just once, the next few months.

Birthday weekend

For my 23rd birthday I was lucky enough to get a trip out of the city to explore the amazing sites England have to offer. This time my boyfriend took me to Castle Combe, a beautiful little village just a couple of hours outside London. This village is actually voted the prettiest village in England, and I can see why. Can you believe that the houses haven't been touched since the 15th century?! Here are some pics from our little weekend away :)

Kate and her yellow dress

bag Mulberry / dress River Island / lipstick YSL / shoes laundryboutique

Ever since Kate came out of the hospital, after giving birth to beautiful Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, wearing a yellow flower dress the world have gone mental about this color. I mean, yellow has always been a loved color for summer, but now you can find this amazing color almost anywhere. I did a quick scan on google and found so many dresses, and I fell in love with this printed dress. I bought a different yellow dress the other day myself, and I will of course show you pictures soon!
Have a great Sunday xx

Let the fun begin

So today I bought white paint and a brush, so I'm going to start "project bedside table" after work today. Because I don't have a proper camera yet I'll probably not post pictures until it's done and in my new house, but I guess pictures of me covered in paint isn't the most interesting thing to watch anyway :)

Inspo: New bedside table

In less than 2 weeks I will be moving to my new house and I'm so excited! I have thousand ideas of how I want my room to look like and I spend hours on pinterest.com in search of inspiration. In the house I live in now I have a bedside table in desperate need for a little diy, so that's gonna be my project before I move (in addition to packing everything I own). I want it to look something like this (and yes, I still love the marble + copper trend), so I better get started.

Say it with jewellery

We normally get deliveries a couple of times a week in my shop, and last week we got these amazing statement necklaces! What do you think? I love everything that sparkles, and I absolutely love these pieces!
Which is your favorite? xx

My Saturday

Good morning :) On Saturday I decided to take the tube to central London and Westminister. I love the old architecture in London, and these two buildings are my favorites.

When I came back to Chiswick I discovered these beautiful flowers in my favorite park - I'm so excited about summer! I can't wait to wear all my summer dresses styled with my favorite pairs of heels!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that this week will be the best so far in 2015! xx

Sorry for the blurry pictures, I don't have a professional camera (yet).

Orange makes me happy!

On weekends I try to be a good girl and make myself a big breakfast juice. Today I used 4 oranges, 3 carrots and 3 small apples in my juice and it tasted amazing! I want to buy a proper juicer when I move so I can add different greens too (like spinach, kale and even mint leaves), but this combination I used today will do for now :)

Ps. I'm on Instagram, so feel free to follow me (my name is absletholt)

Weekend wishlist

bag Mulberry/ knit H&M/ hat H&M/ heels Jimmy Choo/ skirt River Island/ gold earrings by Camilla phil for David Andersen

Here you can see what I want to wear this weekend. I love the leather look skirt, and this is only one out of many ways to wear this beautiful piece. Combine with some smashing heels and a thick knit (yes, it's still too cold outside to wear it with a shirt) and you're good to go!

Progress

Hello and happy Friday! :) Starting a new blog takes time, so now finally after a few days of back and forth with different fonts, picture sizing and html I feel like the blog is starting to take form. What do you think?
This picture is from when Ross and I went to Dartmouth last summer! Such an amazing place! Hopefully we can go back soon.

Have a great weekend

About me

Because this is a brand new blog I though it would be good to introduce myself properly, so here are some facts about me :)

Name: Anne Berit
Nickname: Abby
Nationality: Norwegian
When did I move to the UK: I moved to London in August 2014
Relationship status: I have a boyfriend, and his name is Ross
Age: I am 22, soon to be 23 (8. August)
Siblings: I have a sister named Kristine who also live in London
Job: I am the manager of a little boutique in London (Laundry Boutique Chiswick)

Why I started to blog: I've played with the idea of starting a blog for a while, but I didn't know what to blog about (which I still don't). I like to write and to take pictures, and I've never really had a proper place to post it, so here I am :)
What I want to be when I grow up: I have no idea and that's why I'm in London. I started to study in Oslo, but it wasn't for me. Maybe either in fashion or nutrition.
My fashion style: I don't really have a specific style, but I do have a thing for either boots or strappy sandals, leather jackets, skinny jeans and I always have a small bag on my shoulder.
How tall I am: I am 176 cm (5ft 9)
Random fact about me: I've worked as a model, but only on smaller projects.

Another random fact about me: I used to do politics in Norway and I started when I was 16. In 2011 I was elected to join the city council in my home town as the youngest in the group of 24.
Where do I find inspiration: I always read other blogs to find inspiration, and I'm hooked on pinterest (follow me here). I'm lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of London, so everything around me inspires me.

xx
